At the Newman Elementary PTA, we go above and beyond to enhance the educational experience for our students, support our teachers, and build a strong community. Each year, we organize three major class parties: Winter Party, Valentine's Day, and End of the Year celebrations. We also provide additional programs and assemblies tailored to specific grade levels as well as school-wide events that enrich our students' learning experiences.

Our dedication to our teachers is evident through various appreciation events, including snack carts, luncheons, gifts, and a special Teacher Appreciation Week. When funds allow, we invest in campus upgrades such as new technology, playground enhancements, and beautification projects to improve our school environment.

We kick off the school year with our annual Snow Cones (or Popsicles) in the Park event, fostering community spirit and bringing families together. The PTA also plays a key role in organizing and overseeing room parents, who coordinate teacher gifts, birthday celebrations, spring carnival baskets, and volunteer recruitment for special projects like stage decorations for grade-level performances.

Joining the PTA doesn't mean you have to dedicate all your time to the school. We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities, both large and small. We encourage families to review the list of board positions included on this page. If an area speaks to you and you'd like to get involved, please reach out to the board member listed via email. Remember to put "I WANT TO VOLUNTEER" in the subject line of your email.

Together, we can make a significant impact on our school community!
